Is it possible to get hired remotely at Hess?
The job posting says you need to be able to pass a background check, but it’s pretty much a non-issue.
If you’re a US citizen, you’re not allowed to work remotely, unless you’re a member of the Coast Guard or the Navy. The Coast Guard is the only branch of the US military that allows remote work, but even then, only for certain positions.

It is possible to get hired remotely at Hess. The posting you linked is for a remote position at Hess, not a remote position at any company. It is possible to get hired remotely at other companies, but it depends on the job.
I’m pretty sure you can get hired as a remote employee at Hess. It’s just a matter of how much they want you to work from home. They’re not going to hire someone to work from home if they don’t want you to.
I don’t think it’s a non-issue.
